Hard Way Home

Saw final light coming in a clear blue American sky
Stood ready to meet my Maker – gaze at God’s pure blue
Anxious to talk to Him – rid me of human pain
Not yet – eternal babies cry at my feet
Embracing them in pure innocent love – eyes closed
All was death white then infinitesimal incineration fell
Our bodies were no more, Father’s love gave us form
Through Light we eternally learn – all human possibilities
The eternal babies play and run – freedom serve as arms, feet
Glance at God shedding a tear He spoke softly
Turn away from earthly ruins below – it is not you
Sleep without worry – you found your way home

Writer’s Obligation

Pencil to paper … why did it snap
Pen to paper … mistake, error .. can’t erase
Angry, salty moisture on my face
Just type, you lost writer … what is it again
Your eulogy, says a sleeping me to a weakling
Wake up, wake up alive, feeling heartbeats..mine
Shout out loud … I am good at wanting more!
Selfish, generous, hungry for wild sparks
Too late, settle down and breathe in your years
So wrong for wanting wild chaos in pouring rain
That was another hungry manic time and place
What am I doing here? Ah yes, in case she dies
Eulogy for bipolar face – when she’s off her meds
She’s amazing but I can write!

From Me To You

This is not a solution. This is an exhale. Just an attempt to be honest. I see your apprehension already.

Yes. You are correct and I said it. Uppity liberal know-it-all and disrespects,
dismisses and dissolves a people. They eat no more dust than I do.

Tailored and raggedy garments still contain Americans. We all need to respect the inner us – respect not like.

No abortions? Fine. Make all men celibate until the day they marry via the law. Full-time morality or no freedom.

Apply death penalty for incest and pedophilia, all physical abuse to minors and the disabled.

Keep your firearms? Fine. Death penalty for every parent or guardian guilty of neglect in child or mentally unstable related shooting.

Make every CEO, broker and financial provider involved in a Wall St schemes lose all assets and serve hard time in a real prison for minimum 25 years.

If we want jobs in America then BUY AMERICAN! It cost more , but .. so what! Americans will be employed. Outlaw Wal-Mart, Target and all the discount stores!

You want immigrants to leave? Then I guess you want their money to leave as well. 11 million phony social security numbers collecting taxes from workers that will never get paid back. That money goes to you and your disabled children.

My Mexican mother told me there must always be a price to pay when you get what you want. She also told me not to judge.

There are poor, middle class, rich and super wealthy. An ignorant or immoral person can exist in any one of those classes.

Do you want better education? Good. It begins with turning off the TV, going to the library for history books and talking to your kids for at least an hour per day.

No more Pokemon, Game of Thrones, Xbox and iPhones when you don’t own a car, have beer in the fridge and No Damn Job! I’m sorry but it needs to be said.

We were once free – completely vulnerable yet safe

In our precious beginning – mixing our cries with air

We owned nothing but ourselves

Step – Happily surrounded with voluntary gifts

And there it went on and on through youthful years

Mind and heart produced and mattered

Tangible, lifeless objects and background noise

Still you owned (somewhat) disappearing things

Look, learn, feel the world – which is pleasing and insulting

Refuse to be a warden-prisoner of your gilded cages

Who was born to guard bloodless fancies – expensive and loveless

Guard and tenderly give the unprotected – with numbered names

Wealth in human ventures lightens any load

May your body carry and care for rediscovered smiles

Cough

Congressmen, Senators … you’re not done yet!

You must witness the fruits of your labor thus earn your bribe!

See before you the puss filled limbs, tumor infestation upon that single mother’s exposed breasts – don’t they arouse you

There’s the 10 year old boy weighing 40 pounds – please excuse his pre-existing AIDS

He’s asking you, will I be okay? ANSWER HIM!! Fine gentlemen, indeed!

Exits are blocked by the chronically ill, fluidly dying, and the ignorant poor.

This is not your home! This is OUR CAPITOL! And you must watch our end, move the corpses, before you leave this place. COUGH!

You, my third biological factor
Ingrained and embedded – not welcomed
Loathing silently, wretched decades
Sweetness at the forefront – for outward consumption
Still under dark questions and darker answers
Don’t leave me, fear. Things happen, fear.
Oh yes, you’re my neurological pest and partner
How do I emaciate you? Erase harsh truth from any consideration?
I prefer to kill my ignorant fool – Hello again, frightened Me.

Let us forget our aged bodies
Shall we try another realm, angle or sphere?
Avert your adventurous eyes and lie, lie, lie
Summon a Rod Serling themed spiritual guide
Inhale intensified, mystical gyrations – on another’s skin
Phantom muscles contract, release, explode into void
Nothing and everything happened in a lovely corner
How kind is your motionless rapture, names are blissfully vacant

Benches

Environmentally assaulted in sunny rain poverty
Weathered green splinters awful – yet coveted
Where else do little chicas sit? Graffiti wall is for boys
Covered, shaded, maintained green
Perfect for adolescent trendy and tormentors alike
Vacant classroom for freshman nomadic poor
Cruelty discovers another living place – soul breaking work
Pack of privilege climbers surveying the terrain
Mentally thrashing many from a lovely corporate park bench
I just want a paycheck, pleasantries and respect
Final class war comically ends here – spine, legs turn on me
Latina sits on smooth white plastic shower bench
I’m sure I prefer the splinters and weathered green

Sanitized licentiousness and savagery – promised by forked tongue
What else is in the deal? Stars, moon? Eternal forgiveness … yes
And when the music stops with wet blood upon hands
Avert all eyes so easily and accuse a beloved soul
The masses misdirected. Doggerel verses dancing on tongues, in heads
Blameless, all are blameless – still punishment is doled out
He, she, black and brown spoke sass loudly – qualifications are met!
We were ordered. Fear? yes, of course and there was the matter of a promise
Everyone knows the wind was high and the promise loves to fly

Preferences in numbered ambiguities
Only for some not all
Centuries of bloated, pompous ramblings –
Speak through a well hearted head!
Were we always free to worship God, firearms and poisonous wealth
Yes, in quiet corners, behind shut doors
Don’t quote me on that –
this press is not free and that relic is illegible
Idolaters of weaponry seated at gilded tables –
roles are reversed
Well-manicured turncoats covet your guilty steal –
Listen … they are laughing
Shall they search and seize your neighbor’s home –
Help is a fool’s dream
Nationless human beings –
take one million gasps, humbly head south to disputed land
