Envy – No

Rest assured there is no envy
So many others – unfathomably free
Laughing at your quaintly furnished cell
Walk with your feet, clumsy giant trembles
Seek good shelter, tramp of a leader
Unplug all digital this and that –  dispatchers of betrayal
Very mean doggerel, shouts a lost underling
What is doggerel?  In charge is insanely stupid
All workings of mischievous hands and eyes
Guarantees have guarantors’ backing – too old to care
How does mouse become lion? Roar elected joke

Laugh, laugh and perhaps cackle a bit – the one who knows
Go on and confiscate all means of support
Collect, disseminate then ignore all common treasures
Lively innards may fail still – no matter for next phase
Rural stump or urban curb – momentary al fresco domicile
Sleep into ethereal freedom – farewell earthly encumbrances
Laugh a little (because I’m somewhat petty) and smile

Small Price

Loud, angry and ridiculously giving – the world is far too quiet

Friend is gone and I hate it- don’t say it please

Loyal to family of blood and family of choice – principles can’t be buried

Time crawls without anecdotal words of life, sports and politics

Can’t you post on Facebook from heaven? Forget I said that. Just rest

It doesn’t matter – we all selfishly demand more

No substitute for your moral outrage that issued lovely rants

No replacement for your unfettered joy with loved ones around

No duplication for quiet moments of tenderness – so much more

The ache still invades this world – small price to pay

Your flawed people gladly pay for the honor of mourning you

Rising from your expletive business to my blameless hovel

Of course I hear your uncivil war – was that bone cracking

Nine-one-wretched-one … perhaps dropping weighted noise on battered floor?

Christian rock via giant woofers – Can that redirect his drunken rage?

Go on down steps, bang on door –ready for a projectile weapon.

Not so frail waif opens door – It’s eerily quiet with palpable reasons.

Bits of human liquid and innards not far from massive corpse of who cares

Sorry for the noise, utters tiny chance survivor, we were ill but I am now well

Perfect Little Lady

Unquenchable urge to run, play, fall and always be late

Baptismal mud, scraped knees and palms

Joyful little warrior child … cautious at home’s tricky door

Chuckles, disapproving glares, authoritative bellows

Domestic minefield has been traversed – go bathe

No dolls, tea set or princess garb – bathwater is getting chocolate brown

Is wearing dress or skirt required in real world – specialized rules will apply

Self-ruler years pass, a plethora of debt is somewhat transferred and paid

Quite fierce Harley to work – Senate Floor … Blessed afterwards kickboxing poor sizeable victim

Option Two

Crying due to the strength of a push
It was a gust of cruel wind!
I was an assaulted infant and so I cried
Human comfort came quickly and so I cried
Years made my bones and skin stretch
Push, strikes and fierce gravity
Take it and give back … you are grown.
You’ve been hurt and know your role! Cry, cry
Spiteful laughter and heartless remarks GOD NO!
Human comfort died as I grew .. chose option #2
Will my flesh away via stubborn chants, prayers
Remembering Wind rides above all human frailties

Writer’s Obligation

Pencil to paper … why did it snap
Pen to paper … mistake, error .. can’t erase
Angry, salty moisture on my face
Just type, you lost writer … what is it again
Your eulogy, says a sleeping me to a weakling
Wake up, wake up alive, feeling heartbeats..mine
Shout out loud … I am good at wanting more!
Selfish, generous, hungry for wild sparks
Too late, settle down and breathe in your years
So wrong for wanting wild chaos in pouring rain
That was another hungry manic time and place
What am I doing here? Ah yes, in case she dies
Eulogy for bipolar face – when she’s off her meds
She’s amazing but I can write!

We were once free – completely vulnerable yet safe

In our precious beginning – mixing our cries with air

We owned nothing but ourselves

Step – Happily surrounded with voluntary gifts

And there it went on and on through youthful years

Mind and heart produced and mattered

Tangible, lifeless objects and background noise

Still you owned (somewhat) disappearing things

Look, learn, feel the world – which is pleasing and insulting

Refuse to be a warden-prisoner of your gilded cages

Who was born to guard bloodless fancies – expensive and loveless

Guard and tenderly give the unprotected – with numbered names

Wealth in human ventures lightens any load

May your body carry and care for rediscovered smiles

Cough

Congressmen, Senators … you’re not done yet!

You must witness the fruits of your labor thus earn your bribe!

See before you the puss filled limbs, tumor infestation upon that single mother’s exposed breasts – don’t they arouse you

There’s the 10 year old boy weighing 40 pounds – please excuse his pre-existing AIDS

He’s asking you, will I be okay? ANSWER HIM!! Fine gentlemen, indeed!

Exits are blocked by the chronically ill, fluidly dying, and the ignorant poor.

This is not your home! This is OUR CAPITOL! And you must watch our end, move the corpses, before you leave this place. COUGH!

You, my third biological factor
Ingrained and embedded – not welcomed
Loathing silently, wretched decades
Sweetness at the forefront – for outward consumption
Still under dark questions and darker answers
Don’t leave me, fear. Things happen, fear.
Oh yes, you’re my neurological pest and partner
How do I emaciate you? Erase harsh truth from any consideration?
I prefer to kill my ignorant fool – Hello again, frightened Me.
