All is dreadfully fine

Minor wish tickles psyche

Implanted – seeds of revolt

Step out child – rings in head

Innocuous shape shifting

Invisible yet visible

I am here – laughing mirror   

Come house dwellers

Bathe in reflective judgment

Stop staring so intently!

I’m going back to sleep

Prefer fuzzy medicated dreams

Can one tire of abstract pain?

Our conditioning began

In the auspicious beginning

Fair trade-off? No

Pain must reign just a little

Mind forgets to lament

Flesh swallows fictitious joy

Marked sting, the pathetic norm

Do we wish it gone?
